Busy, busy, busy April 18, 2008

No new posts in a while, I know.  And I’d like to take this time to apologize.  So, I’m sorry.  Okay?  Let’s move on…

Here’s all the latest juicy news and gossip on Keri and I:  We’ve started our birth and labor classes at the Birth and Women’s Center.  The first class went by pretty quick, and I picked up some good information I think, but the woman running it did hand out the detailed pictures of female anatomy almost before everyone could find a seat.  Still, I’m looking forward to the other classes, of which there are five remaining.

I started my new job this week.  Sort of.  I’ve moved into my new location and had a little training, and I’ve started to do a little work on a redesign of the company intranet.  For the most part, though, I’m waiting for more training concerning what is supposed to be the meat of my job, and it seems the specifics of how and when that’s to be done are still being worked out.  I don’t really mind the slow start, but I am starting to get a little antsy for more to do.

Registry March 23, 2008

Keri and I signed up for the baby registry at Target on Friday, and I’ve had a few people ask me about it already, so I thought I’d just post the direct link to the registry here to make it easier on everyone. I’m not sure if Miss Manners would frown upon this or not (I can see a correlation between posting the link here and including a list of where you’re registered on your wedding invitations), but. . . I don’t really care. I don’t think we know anyone who wouldn’t use the same fork for salad and the main course.

Hello world! March 19, 2008

First post, woo-hoo!

So I’ve had this idea for a “Mack family” blog for a while, now, and I’ve been threatening/promising my beautiful wife I’d get to it since, I think, even before our marriage. Well, here it is, in all it’s glory. Its spring break, I don’t have to be at work for another two hours, and we have the very first pictures of our child to post. What better time to get this thing rolling?

Originally I was planning on just making this a forum for our own thoughts, news, updates, and photos, but I’ve got this crazy idea about opening it up to the rest of the Macks and associated clans (Kenns, Robbs, etc) to contribute, as well. I don’t know. We’ll see what happens.

In the meantime, two things for you:

1.) My personal pledge to update this blog at least once a week or whenever I get around to it, whichever comes first.

2.) A sneak peek at the new summer blockbuster
